A Pre-Redevelopment Audit and Pre-Demolition Audit of a 1989 Camden warehouse, ahead of a life sciences and residential scheme.
Material Index carried out a Pre-Redevelopment Audit of Royal College Place, a 1989 steel portal-frame distribution warehouse in Camden, in line with GLA Circular Economy Guidance at pre-application stage. The audit tested full retention, selective retention and full redevelopment, and found that full redevelopment with a focus on material recovery best met the project objectives and Camden's planning guidance. A Pre-Demolition Audit followed, identifying reuse opportunities for bricks, structural steel and cladding, and on-site recycling of concrete as aggregate.
