For Gleeds, Material Index audited Car Park 5 at the heart of Loughborough University's campus, a site cleared of its former Chemistry and Graham Oldham buildings ahead of a student accommodation scheme of around 500 units targeting BREEAM Outstanding. The audit covered the car park's surfacing and sub-base layers, gabion walls, mature trees, street lamps, EV charging points and site furniture, setting a reuse or recycling pathway for each so the new landscape can draw on what the old one leaves behind.
