A Pre-Demolition Audit of a three-storey campus building for the University of Birmingham, supporting its BREEAM targets.
Material Index carried out a Pre-Demolition Audit of the Hills Building for the University of Birmingham at RIBA Stage 1, surveying the red-brick building on the west side of campus in March 2025. Originally built for the Department of Chemistry and more recently home to the School of Psychology, the building was catalogued component by component, with reuse, recycling and waste pathways set out in line with BREEAM Wst 01 and the GLA's circular economy guidance.
