For Related Argent, on its joint venture with Derwent London, Material Index carried out a Pre-Deconstruction Audit of Old Street Quarter: the Islington city block occupied by Moorfields Eye Hospital and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, around 42,600 m² across buildings dating from 1898 to 2006. The audit gave every material a pathway in line with the waste hierarchy, supporting a residential-led redevelopment that retains buildings and facades where it can, including the original 1898 hospital.
